Rural Broadband

Completing a new build in a rural area where fibre put in place by Open Eir partially comes up the road but not all the way to where we are building. After contacting a number of providers it would appear that extending the Open Eir infrastructure can only be done if Eir Wholesale approve doing so. Can anyone advise how to contact Eir Wholesale, a number or email?

Alternatively as this may be a dead end, any recommended satellite providers?

I don't think you'll get much luck going after Open eir. Their plans only change when they decide to do so and not because they are asked.

Steer clear of satellite. It's the worst possible solution. I'd nearly take dial-up over going back to satellite.

Try see if you are covered by a fixed wireless operator. Use this map:
    https://irelandoffline.org/map/#!/map
Tick Wireless ISPs and see if you are covered by one or more and then contact them.

If there's none, or they cant cover you, then try Imagine or one of the Mobile broadband options.

But steer clear of the satellite.
