    Hi All,
    My father suffers from a number of conditions including diabetes, odema, a very bad hip, and is feet/legs are swelled very badly.
    He is in the category of 30+ stone.

    He bought a disability recliner chair based on his budget but it keeps breaking and is not comfortable for him i can tell but he wont say as hes too proud but i believe its because its not made for a man of his size.

    I want to help him and get him a better disability recliner chair that through the push of a button can put him in an upright nearly standing position and can move back to a seating position and is suitable given his size/weight.

    I believe theyre very expensive but would be interested in second hand if need be and if its in good condition.

    The HSE can give recliner chairs to people on a need to have basis.
    If you contract your local public health nurse and ask her to get an OT ( occupational therapist ) out to see your dad.
