What are the best bookshops in Ireland where a 7 year old could find a good variety of Irish language books. He attends a Gaelscoil and is really good at reading.

Don’t mind traveling as we could make a day out of it.

    Re Irish Language childrens' books

Séamus Duffy Bridge Street Westport has a good selection. One of my grandchildren is a frequent shopper there. He and his teenage children ( who are often there at weekends ) know their stuff and stock.

Cá bhfuil cónaí ort? An siopa is fearr i mBÁC ná An Siopa Leabhar ag Conradh na Gaeilge ar Shráid Fhearchair/Harcourt Street, Dublin 2.

You could get information from the main distributor of Irish language books, Áis, about a local bookshop that stocks books in Irish. Contact ais@forasnagaeilge.ie

It's way out of the way but the shop at Oideas Gael in Glencolmcille, Donegal has a great selection of kids books to browse
