Should I change ADI?

Hope it’s ok to post this here but I’m wondering if anyone could advise me if should change ADI.

Have had 8 lessons and he’s been late for two - on both occasions they were cut short as a result (one in particular by 10-15 mins). He’s asked me on the past two lessons “what lesson are we on now?” And “have we done roundabouts/have we done turnabouts” etc etc when we have had entire lessons dedicated to those!! He’s a nice teacher and I’ve learned a lot but I’m frustrated and a bit alarmed with him not remembering what we’ve covered before. He doesn’t remember what I struggled with one week and therefore doesn’t notice or encourage me when that same issue is much better the next week.

He keeps saying how busy he is with all his lessons. I feel like just a number to him and am completely frustrated now as he has gone and told me not to book another lesson with him until I do much more practice I’m fairly sure I know the answer but just wondering if his approach is normal if I should be looking to change.

I had an ADI based around the Finglas/Raheny test area, and he was constantly late! Often picked me up still with pupils in the car, so I'd have to drop them home. I only did a short course of lessons with him, then changed to someone a lot better and more reliable.

I'd change instructor, if you feel this is getting to be an issue. It's very frustrating to be kept waiting. I learned through lessons alone though, so if I'd been told come back after you practice I wouldn't have been coming back! :pac:

It's totally up to you though. If you like the instructor and feel you've been learning a lot, you might want to stick with them- it's your call, and your money at the end of the day!
