I bought a leather effect sofa in November 2015. It was sold as being extremely hard wearing leather at the time but now the armchair has started to peel. What are my options as retailer has told me the guarantee was only for 12 months and won’t do anything else for us after this time.

Unfortunately it's well passed any guarantees unless stated 5 or 10 etc...

Moved to Interior Design & Decoration, you may get some suggestions on how to live with it now it has aged out of warranty.
Check the original manufacturers warranty first before doing anything, if it was claimed to be hard wearing, they may have a longer warranty on it than the store.
