Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi,

has anyone been able to find reasonably priced car insurance after returning to Ireland from being abroad for few years?

All I can hear so far is that my driving experience outside Ireland doesn't count as a 'no claims bonus' so its like I'm starting from scratch and prices are very high!

I'm going to move this to the specialist Insurance forum which gets a decent amount of traffic.

‘AIB will take into account your previous driving experience in Ireland and we will give you an introductory 50% no claims discount (if you can prove you’ve been driving abroad claims free and as long as you held a no claims discount when your last Irish policy expired)’

Have you asked Axa for a quote? The policy on offer from AIB (see post above) is via Axa.
