    A thread started there and it got me thinking.

    Did ye ever get the ride on your way somewhere with a stranger. For example during a commute or hitchhiking to a festival. Or whatever.

    Has to be a stranger. Can’t be the husband or wife.

    A few lads will spoof but what can ye do.

    Oh I don’t think I have.

    I’d hardly call myself a researcher. I just read a thread and thought wow a large percentage of people spend their commute thinking about riding each other but I doubt it ever happened.

    Not travelling somewhere nope. Not from a stranger anyway. Once tried to chat someone up on a flight and it got pretty flirty, but I completely bottled out by the time we were landing. When the plane landed and we got off I went into ehhh... ummm... mode. DOH!

    Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    I too got fairly flirty and drunk on a long flight but again nothing happened.

    By and large travelling on buses, trains and planes is a functional thing for me - the hottest hottie could sit beside me on a train and I’d worry about the next connection.
