I have been offered the above , it look's immaculate inside and out ,new NCT, 70,000 miles. I would like a ball park figure of what it's worth? I would prefer if the comedians gave it a rest for a while. I AM well aware of the members here who know the game.

I don't know which model it is. Year's ago I had an 850cc. one and I thought that any 1275cc was a cooper or cooper s. It is plain to see I know sod all about them . I will get the details you mention. Do the different models vary much in value?

A 1275 Cooper would be worth more than a non-cooper version.

It's either a late Mark VI or an early Mark VII (ended/began in 1996).

I'd say anywhere from 3k - 5k could be the cost. But with these cars they can demand whatever someone is willing to pay! I've seen some sell for 2.5k, and others selling for 6K.

In '96 they were all MPi and the Cooper only had extra spec rather than extra power.
TBH, I wouldn't buy it. Despite having 5 here (a couple from the 70's, the rest all 80's, with varying Engines) they are really a '3rd' Car at this stage. You would want at least another 'comfortable' classic and then the Mini for a small bit of fun now and again.
Even the last of them (which you are looking at ) will have loads of rust issues by now. A lot of these will go beyond being simply 'cosmetic'.
Unless you are getting it for less than €1k (which you probably aren't) , and can weld and paint at a decent level there are plenty of other 'classics' out there which will drive better, rust less, and will generally not break your spirit.

edit; when I mentioned the €1k figure (I know the Seller is asking more) that was just to say that many other classics which sell for, say 3K, would be a far better bet.

There is a reason minis and money both start with the same letter!

I've a few minis and I dread to think what I've spent on them over the last 10 years. I could probably have bought an overseas apartment by now!

Thank's to both of you for solid replies. The price info. makes sense . I have a Range Rover Classic on the road . The 3rd. car is what this MINI would be. I have no intention of having to do any work on this MINI. I assume that apart from how good it look's a fresh NCT would mean no major rust issues? I look forward to both of your opinion's. Regard's KB.

The NCT basically means that on ONE day* a tester and his technology between them - considered a car roadworthy .

It doesn't mean there isn't major issues developing .

    Care still very much needed.

TBH without actually seeing the Car in the flesh it's very hard to say if you should buy it or not. If you have no intention of doing any work to it (as you say) then it would really want to be in very, very good condition bodywise, and then garaged when not in use.
Apart from that see if you can take it for a decent Test Drive. While the Mini hasn't changed much over the years the Roads certainly have. There is now a speed-bump plague...which is OK in most Cars , but hugely off-putting in a Mini in particular. That alone could deter you from buying one.
Also the sheer amount of Traffic (inc Trucks) can be overwhelming in a Mini. While it looks cute parked up , it can feel a bit vunerable amongst any fast-moving Traffic.
As I say, have a drive and see if you still want one.
