A neighbour has recently installed some kind of antenna on a 30' pole on his roof, any ideas what it is and used for?

Might be wrong, but looks like a wireless internet antenna.

I'd agree with that, outdoor WiFi or Cellular antenna.

Do you mean the pole is 30' and the receiver is 30' above the roof and dependant on the chimney to hold it?
If so, sounds like a recipe for disaster.

That cable won't last long untied to the pole and flapping in the wind.

Yep, its about 30' above his roof and it flaps about. I wonder if its a coincidence, but my own internet has gone south since he put it up, could it interfere with me?

Its an LTE panel for 4G mobile broadband.

I'm guessing you don't have many broadband options in the area ?

In the City, and i'm sitting here with full 4G coverage on 3 and Vodafone. Plenty of broadband options locally, I’m on 250mb from virgin.

I think we’ve established this has nothing to do with Satellite Television, moving to Broadband
