My local garage can supply and fit the kumho ps91 225x40 R 18 for €110 a corner. Also available on oponeo for €76 delivered but thats another story. Are they a decent option for an audi a4 with 170 hp.

Very common mid range budget tyre in Australia. I almost bought an AT set for my old Landcruiser as they had an 80,000km warranty, once rotated every 10,000km by a Kumho dealer. If they wore out before the 80,000km they'd give you a new set for free.

I'm pretty sure I had some sets on work Hilux's over there too and no problems.

I had some on a rwd car with 200+bhp over 10years ago and they had good grip but wore fast enough.

Obviously a lot can change in that time span.

They’re a good tyre. You should be able to get fitting for €15 a corner on top of opined price.
You’d want to be sure whoever fits them won’t butcher your wheels though.

A good tyre with a decent Rally heritage. I have used them on a 5.0ltr Tdi Tourag I found them comparable to Dunlop and better than Continental and perhaps not as good Michelin.

Also had them on the front of a borrowed Mondeo we used for car accountability on a local rally a good test of any tyre. They preformed well in mixed conditions

Ran them for a few years on a Lexus IS with almost identical bhp, no complaints. Decent mid range brand.

I have PS91s on a car at the minute and would rate them highly for the money.

Had them on my first Sorrento, no issues.

OK guys, thanks for the replies. Seems I can't go wrong with the tyres or the oponeo price. I'll get them fitted handy enough also.

    If Carlsberg did warranties....
I'd imagine there would be a lot of terms and conditions.

I had PS71 on the front and rear of my A4 and the Golf has two new ones on the rear I think they are a decent Tyre wear well and provide good grip. They would be my top choice in the mid range tyre segment.

I had new Ecstas on my A5 when I bought it. Pretty good I thought.

I would put them at the upper end of the mid-range, along with Hankook etc.

Not in the same league as Michelin or Good Year IMHO, but I think I paid 105 a corner fitted back then so great value.
