Hi i posted a question in the gardening forum but it might be better here.
    https://touch.boards.ie/thread/2058007478/1/#post111002403
I have some wood placed above them on blocks to protect them in the mean time.

Basically can i place a new shed on top of the hedgehog home while still leaving the shed at least four inches above the ground?
I could try to move them but would worry that might not be best for the two or three baby hedgehogs there

Apparently a good chance the mother will move babies elsewhere so fingers crossed.

You are only taking some of that article on board. They MAY move and IF they do it could take several nights. Look at the advice about moving them yourself.

I was talking to someone who rescues them and said that was the likeliest thing to happen. Today though theres no sign of mummy but babies still there.

that does not strike me as a good sign, the mother would not be likely to leave the litter unattended during the day, i'd have thought.

There were four baby hedgehogs. The mother left and presumably built a new nest. She came back and took the babies away but unfortunately the smallest had died and I found another dead near a fence a few meters from the original nest so im thinking she may have been climbing the fence and dropped it. Hopefully her and the remaining two are alive and well as the neighbors garden has plenty of fresh hedgehog poo.
