Taking your dog on holidays abroad

Where can you find information on doing this? I’ve tried googling but can find very little information. I thought since the introduction of pet passports this would be easier but I can’t find any details on carriers. Myself and the wife wanted to head off to Spain for a month in January but she won’t put the pooch in a kennel.

Brittany Ferries have some dog-friendly cabins. I'm not sure if they operate the Cork-Santander route in January though - give them a bell.

GB friends have brought their dogs with them by ferry or the tunnel, and found it easier and less stressful to the dogs than flying. You'll need to get a tapeworm treatment from a licenced vet at least 24 hours and no more than 120 hours before returning. The Brittany Ferries page linked has a list of vets at both Roscoff and Santander.
