    hello Folks,

renovating an old cottage and while internally it will be modernised, the look from the road will remain old cottage look.Stone front and natural slates. However I really need some light in the hall and stairwell and am tempted to put in a small velux in the front. The roof is new and is a bigger than the original.

Would a small velux look very out of place in in old cottage?

    Thanks for your ideas.

Velux do a conservation window which looks quite well on old buildings but I think you might need planning permission to install one on the front.
