What will the world be like 100 years from now ?

Just looking at old pictures from Dublin from the early 19th century, really is a big pile of nothing to look at. 1940's, 1950's Dublin was full of large families that were just pure poverty.

The world today is a developed place, technology is incredible. Kids today are so lucky to be born into such a modern world full of this amazing stuff.

100 years from now, what do you think the world is going to offer that it doesn't currently ? Is society going to be the same or any better ? I think it's weirdly unpredictable, peoples attitudes have gotten worse and people today are more dangerous then they were 20 years ago. Surely there is going to be another major war on the horizon in the next 20 years between the big powers where thousands or even millions will die before new modern cities will be built. Mars will probably be colonized by then to. All of the above may not happen but I think some sort of major world war is a guarantee unfortunately.

Will cancer be cured ? The aging process stopped by some wonder drug ? Will beings from other worlds decide to make themselves known ? Will all governments be abolished and replaced ? Will there be mind reading technology that can charge us with crimes that we have not committed yet ? Will life like robots walk the streets among us ?
