Two issues with sky box!

If I plug in my TV/Sky box and I go away for a period. When I switch on my TV I'll only have sound. I can't view any channels or the menu.
Also, If I hit the AV button and switch to HDMI2 I end up with a blank screen when I switch back to HDMI1.(Even if it's only for a second).
Pressing home/etc make no difference.
I have to plug out the box/tv for at least five minutes before it will again.
Everything is recorded when this happens.

On Wednesday at abut 1:20am the screen goes blank and we are faced with the same issue.

Any ideas Or is the common?

Sounds like its a Q box. If so, I would ring/text Sky and get them to book you in for a service call. As Sky own the equipment it will be free of charge.

What TV - make/model?
What HDMI input is being used on TV?
What Sky box is being used i.e. Q or HD?

It's a Panasonic about ten years old.
We're using the HDMIncae sky installed.
Sky Q box we got it in December.
