Hi. I've been offered a job in the maternity hospital in Bishopstown Cork. I'm moving before my wife and child. Can anyone recommend areas 10-15 walking distance to hospital. I've applied for accommodation in Donscourt in Bishopstown - is this a good area? Thanks

Donscourt is fine, Bishopstown is one of the better areas in Cork

There's no area north of the N40 within a 15 minute walk that I'd consider bad at all. Closer to UCC and CIT are more student-ey areas but that's about it.

Wilton and Glasheen could also be good options

Donscourt is perfect, and it's a very quiet and safe area.
