Washing machine control panel

    The ribbon on the circuit panel inside the door of my neighbors washing machine has snapped. Whats her options here. What is the correct terminology even for this part.:confused:

    Its a ribbon cable. If it's hard connected to the circuit panel (main control board?) then you need a new panel. If not (i.e. the cable can be unplugged from the board) then a new cable. I'd suspect you'd have trouble getting just a cable though - spare parts availability tends towards things that sell, like circuit boards.
