Clutch/ timing belt/ water pump - rough estimate?

Looking to get some work done on a 2.0 hyundai coupe. Was able to buy the clutch & timing belt kit (+ water pump) for 150 euros. Usually my dad would be able to do the work but he is away for a fair while. Not confident of doing this myself (i'll be doing discs/pads/full service only). Rang a garage up and he gave a quote of 300 euros labour. Does this seem a reasonable amount? Will obviously ring around a bit, but just wanted to make sure I was in the right ballpark. :)

    cheers

    That’s about right.
Much better off having the garage supply their own parts though as if anything goes wrong they’ll just say it was your parts that caused it.

cheers. I would def like to get a garage to do the complete job, but the price then turns mental. Coming in at around 800~ for the clutch and timing belt!!

300s very reasonable for that much work to be fair.

I thought wasn't too bad as engine having to be dropped to do the work properly. Polish fella, came recommended by a few colleagues. Think I'll go with that and report back.

Now to find a piston wind back tool that doesnt take 5 days to deliver or cost 50 euro!

Go down to you local motor factors. Old timers behind the counter tend to be very knowledgeable. Well worth getting to know them. :)
