Why are young women in their 20s cowards in approaching men?

I'm in my 20s but look like about 17/18. The times I get approached on the street, it's usually by old/drunk men asking me if I'm Muslim.

On the rare occasion like today when I get approached by women around my age, they are always teenage girls. These two were american tourists (both 17) drunk and asked me for a tenner which I gave them. Said thanks and told me I have a big ass..:D

Now, why does that never happen from women the same age bracket as me? I swear to God, they seem so closed off. Not even in romantic contexts but general approaching. Never ask for directions, never ask for money, so rude.

I think young woman these days are afraid of saying “anything” to a guy in case they get accused of some form of sexual assault.

Don't need to - why make the effort?

That said, it does also lead to the all-men-are-bastards belief.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Do you always ask their age? They could be 20 somethings who look like teenagers.

What did they need the tenner for?

What did they need the tenner for?

To make his story seem more plausible/less fictional, obviously...

Maybe they have no reason to approach you and are just getting on with their lives?

OP if you are ever in Barcelona you will find the young ladies very approachable. But i think they are looking for more than a tenner.

This reminds me somehow of the old "Girls reversing into guys at discos" thread.
    Good times.

Unfortunately women learn from a young age not to approach men. Generally what happens is the guy gets a big head and treats the girl terribly, tells all his mates she's crazy and in love with him when all she's done is show a little bit of interest or he spreads rumours about her that she's a slut and desperate for his D, all because she sent the first text or asked him on a date.
Not every man is like this but enough of them are to scare women off making the first move with any man again, its just too risky.

I have to give a hand shandy for that kind of cash, I'm clearly missing a trick.

I'm experiencing deja vu here. This all sounds very familiar.
