The Jolly Roger; Pirate radio in Cork. A talk by award-winning sports broadcaster Trevor Welch who began his career on Pirate Radio with Radio Caroline and South Coast Radio in the mid-80s.

Pirate Radio was a Cork phenomenon. Pirate Radio was adopted with such passion in Cork that, three decades later, stations like ERI, South Coast Radio CCLR, Radio City Capitol Radio and others are remembered with a fondness far beyond mere nostalgia. The Jolly Roger is the story of Pirate Radio in Cork including John Creedon, Neil Prendeville, Trevor Welch, Mark Cagney, Paul Byrne, Derry O’Callaghan, Ken Tobin and Pj Coogan.
