I've a 2012 Newport Select that I bought second hand a couple of years ago. I love the putter and plan to keep it long term. It's absolutely battered with a lot of the black PVD coating being scuffed and scratched.

Is there anyone in Ireland refurbing Scottys?

Hey, I got a Scotty refurb'ed through my pro shop. I had store credit and nothing else to spend it on. It was an 18 year studio stainless Newport 2.5. Bought putter for €70 with no headcover. Refurb cost €200 and came back like brand new with a a new headcover, new shaft and new grip. I couldn't put for sh1te with it so after 18 months i sold it on ebay for €270 after charges so net zero! :pac:

Looks unreal. Given that it got a new shaft and head over I’m assuming they sent it to the Scotty custom shop in California?

Yea it was unreal. Hard to believe, like brand new. I was told it was being sent to Scotty yes, but the pro seemed to hint it was going to Scotty in the UK. I didn't question it at the time. It was back in about 7 weeks so I'm really not sure. Sounds like there is still some sort of UK hub/subcontractor for this work.

I know a guy called Chris Finch does high quality refurbs for people in Ireland even though hes based in the UK. Hes on Instagram and possibly fb if you want to give him a try.

    Cheers for the info lads.

That's absolutely savage work, Twistface. Beautiful putter you have there now.

I've a few sky marks on a newish 3 wood. Taylor Made. Is a DIY repaint possible?

Old thread but just looking for some info? When you sent this off a few years back were you hit for customs/excise etc on the way back in or how was it processed?

    Thanks
