Hi, I'm looking to change my current account to a joint account with my wife. I saw one of your pages recommended calling 1890354454, but it didn't mention joint accounts in the options, so i figured i'd ask here first. Do i just call and request it, and what information will they need from my wife and I? We are both current account holders at the moment.

Also, going forward, from a savings and mortgage application point of view, is there any benefit/downside to having a single joint account, rather then separate individual accounts?

    Hi there Kiith,

Thanks for getting in touch with us here on Boards.

You can absolutely apply for a joint account online here.

You wouldn't be able to convert a sole account into a joint account.

If we can help with anything else please let us know.

    Thanks,

    Lorna
