Passat B6 window regulator

i attempted to remove my window reg today on my passat when the tiny little bolts 4mm i think on the clips holding the window onto the arms in the windows snapped. they must have been seased in. anyways how do i remove it from the window if the bolts are now broken?

I've only done an A4 but should be similar - have you removed the entire window frame from the door?

I would image they are part of the new reg as they clamp to both sides of window when tightened.They are part of the sliding bit that go up and down.

problem is i cant remove the doorcard while the clips are still attached to the bottom of the window

thats the clips as you can see, the middle bolt snapped

Is this the doorcard which is nearly size of door with many 10mm bolts and 2 rubber grommets for access.Vw regs are part of the door panel.Clips might need to be cut by something like this

yea thats the one, i have a replacement panel to go in, just i cant free my window cause the middle bolt snapped

im thinking of drilling out the rivits holding the panel to the window reg arms

Yes thinking of cutting or drilling might be only option.

well i drilled out the small rivits holding the arms onto the door plate and it came off nice and handy. oh and for anyones refrence, the reason the bolt snapped is because vw in theyre wisdom decided to make the bolts clockwise to loosen.

done all that now i have an airbag light on, oh the joys lol

Thinking if airbag in door and panel removed and ignition on might have triggered it.
