    I have a eircom.net email and since yesterday I can't receive emails but I can send them. I'm using the incoming server "webmail.eir.ie" and Port 10 but keep getting the error message that the pop server is not responding. Any ideas?

    It's supposed to be I think 110 not 10. I would also try "webmail.eircom.net".

    These are the server details for setting up an Eircom email account on Thunderbird. Thunderbird also sets up an Eircom account automagically with warnings about security.

    incoming server is pop.eircom.net
    Port: 110
    Connection Security: None
    Authentication method: Password, transmitted insecurely

    Outgoing server: smtp.eircom.net
    port: 25
    Authentication method: Normal password
    Connection Security: STARTTLS
