We had our Captains prize in Killarney Golf and Fishing Club last weekend... Held over 3 days for the gents - We had a massive 411 players playing in the gents...

With the Ladies/ Juniors and Guest we had almost 600...

Any other club in the country doing these numbers?

We had about 480 gents play in the CP in Galway GC about three weeks ago. There were qualifiers on Saturday and Sunday and then the top 27 went through to a playoff the following Friday evening.

We have 432 over 3 days (Fri, Sat, Sun)
For our centenary year we had 4 days of qualifying so it was over 550 I believe.

(Top 150 or so go through to second round)

There is a separate comp for Junior (girls & boys) and also intermediates & seniors.

Jeez impressive numbers folks but lets remember all the other clubs in the country that break their proverbial s to keep things going. For me Respect to those clubs that routinely dont even get into treble figs in terms of participtants for their Capts Prize.
