Our bath was painted with what looks like wall paint before we bought our house. It's been flaking off for ages now and we've just put up with it but I'm sick of it and want it gone. It's an enamel bath I think, anyone know the best product to use to remove the paint? Thanks.

I know a cast iron bath will absorb a lot of heat but I think I'd give a hot air paint stripper gun a try?

ffs its cast iron and enamel so maybe I'd try something even hotter :D

It might not be paint. Someone might have gotten the bath resurfaced at some point - I've never heard of a case of it lasting though, it flakes off.

Hot air gun wouldn't be a bad idea. Yes the cast iron will absorb but once you soften the paint/coating it should loosen.
