renting a room in own house to HAP recipient

when a room is given on rent to someone on HAP do they get same rights as tenants in a family house? is there a notice period in case family wants the room back for their personal use?

They are a licensee and have no rights, only reasonable notice required (usually a month if on good terms but can be immediate eviction on the spot if there is a serious issue).
