Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hey I just got a pal colecovision and bought DK for it, now when i load dk i get a graphic error of mario loading in the wrong position on screen everytime.
I cleaned the cart and the cart socket.

So I just want to ask does anyone have a 100% known working colecovision game I could borrow to see if it is just my copy of dk thats at fault or if its something wrong with the console itself.

I'l pay for postage to and from myself or could meet in dublin next time im up.

I had an awful time with my Coleco, to the point that I no longer own it.
Last Bandit worked on it, replaced some things, but none of the fixes helped.
    Very unfortunate.

Yeah Im hoping it is only the game and not the console itself, as I have ordered an av mod kit and other bits for it before testing fully, silly I know.

i'd suspect bad DRAM or a bad power switch. This RAM is very susceptible to voltage drops (and requires +5V, -5V, 12V to operate) so I'd clean the power switch first then consider replacing the 4116 RAM chips with 4164's (+5V only).

I did eventually get Cidermans one working but needed all new RAM, lots of traces to fix and a few other TTLs if I remember correctly. The original 4116s had burnt the board in places :(

Just got a verified working cart and still has graphical glitches.

I have no burning or bad traces on the board, I read it could be a bad psu, do you think recapping the psu would be somewhere to start?
