I had a shotgun wedding last year when I got pregnant. I was due to get married this year but cancelled it. Now I’m kinda jealous of weddings and I’m thinking of having an informal wedding (or party) somewhere in Dublin City Centre or close enough. Roughly 80 people. Any suggestions?

Main question is whats your budget?

Do you just want a room for a celebration or do you want to do reenact a traditional wedding, just the legalities are already done?

Do you want to wear a wedding dress, hire a photographer, have a sit down meal?

I think I’d like to reenact a traditional wedding but maybe get a friend to do it.

Budget would be 5-8k I think

we're getting married in the Angler's Rest next year and they are less formal than your typical venue but still very much a "wedding" vibe. They're also very good value for money.

That sounds exactly what I'm looking for. Thank you.

We are planning on getting married in City Hall - Dublin hopefully before Christmas if not early next year.

    http://www.dublincity.ie/sites/default/files/content/RecreationandCulture/CityHall/Documents/guidelines%20for%20ceremonies.pdf

A friend of mine is a photographer and we are only inviting our closest relatives even though it can cater for up to 200 people.

    Worth having a look.

Price €1250 but to secure a place a €500 deposit is required.
