Airport to Hotel transfers - Mallorca

What is the cheapest way to transfer from airport to hotel in Mallorca?

Our hotel in Soller is quoting €98 for one-way transfer from airport to the hotel.

    It's a 35km, 40 minute journey.

    That seems excessive to me.

Are there independent companies in Mallorca which offer transfers?

    Would a taxi be cheaper?

    Many thanks for any advice.

€98 certainly seems excessive to Soller. We were charged €60 two years ago from the airport to Port de Soller which is a little further from Soller, however the taxi was arranged for us by the lady whose accommodation we were staying in.
Bear in mind the toll is now gone for the tunnel since either 2017/2018 so you wouldn’t have this fee on current taxi fare.
There is a company regularly recommended on Trip Advisor as we considered booking them for our last trip.

    What time are you arriving?

There is good airport bus now, would need to check if it goes to soller

    Look at Balearic Transfers.
We used them last year for a return transfer to Port de Pollenca.
I think it was €125 return all in.
Port de Pollenca is further from the airport than Soller so shouldn’t be any more than that.
Worked out great for us anyway - I will use them again.

If we're on time, we arrived at 22:00.

Taxi is probably the simplest. I presume they're plentiful at the airport.

We fly August 24th. Let's hope that Ryanair's strike news doesn't get any worse!

    Thanks.

I've never waited more than ten minutes for a taxi at Palma airport.

I usually arrive at that time and our 20km taxi is about €40, so i would be amazed if you have to pay more than €65 to Soller

    Off topic...but,...

There is a train that runs between Soller and Port de Soller.

It costs €8 each way, but locals pay €2 each way.

Apparently, there is a way to avail of the local rate. Anyone know how?

    Thanks.

Check out ziptransfers....have used them for the last 5 years for a family of 5...reliable and reasonable and no messing around with waiting and dropping others off etc.

It’s a good little resort. Not too busy but plenty to do. A nice but busy beach, good restaurants there.

I’ve never stayed in a hotel there, but been a few times.

Car hire was really cheap when I visited Majorca last month and driving is fairly easy there. A car really opens up the island for you.

Just back from a week in Port de Soller. Our hotel (Esport) arranged a transfer for us and it was €50 from the airport and similar on the way back.

Pretty sure this was the company they used

You pay for the Soller - Port Soller Train on board. Locals would show their ID to the conductor to get discounted rate. Nice to do once or twice but a taxi would be cheaper for regular trips out for dinner etc.

Stayed here for a few days last summer to unwind, its so so peaceful if that's what you're looking for, we stayed in Mar Senses hotel which was great.

Some fantastic restaurants along the prom and some nice little quiet bars, it is a very sleepy little port so you wont get much nightlife after midnight, small warning if that's a factor.

I'm trying to get back asap thou, it's perfect for us to unwind with nearly gauranteed good weather.

Great thanks for the info guys, appreciate it, don’t want anything with a hectic nightlife as it’s a family of 2 adults 2 kids both under 13... it sounds perfect. Thank you for the replies.

Sorry I’m only seeing this now.
We really liked it (me and my wife travelled with our then 20 month old daughter).
We stayed in a lovely apartment in the Bellresguard area which was a nice walk along the Pine Walk into the centre.
It has lots of restaurants and a nice beach with everything in walking distance.
We’re going back again in 4 weeks with a second child in tow this time.

    Back from Sóller in Mallorca.

Used transfersoller.com to go from Palma Airport to hotel in Sóller. Excellent service. Our flight was early, so I had to phone to see where the driver was. He was waiting two minutes away in the car park, but he came to the meeting point to collect us. Phone was answered immediately (this was 22:30 in the evening) and the person who answered spoke perfect english.

    I would use them again.
