Hi folks, My daughter is working at Avara. I worked there myself about a decade ago, it was known as Sefa when I was there. Anyways after a Belgian company took them over, the assets have been stripped and what was left was sold on to Avara who are now in Liquidation. It looks like the workers have got rightly shafted…

Hi folks,
My daughter is working at Avara. I worked there myself about a decade ago, it was known as Sefa when I was there.
Anyways after a Belgian company took them over, the assets have been stripped and what was left was sold on to Avara who are now in Liquidation. It looks like the workers have got rightly shafted here, and by the looks of it the Taxpayer will get the same as there isn't enough money left to decommission the plant.

Theres a petition going at the moment to see can something be done about the whole mess, and hopefully the workers get looked after.
