    Hi folks,
I was out for a meal on Friday night, and everyone in my party commented on the flooring in th restaurant. We all examined and were of the belief it was timber or timber effect tiles (we even touched the floor). To our surprise the owners confirmed it was lino.
This got my wife and I thinking that this would be an ideal solution for our downstairs. With that in mind, what are the good makes / brands, what terminology should we look out for, who are good providers etc.
    Thanks in advance.

You’re probably looking for Amtico or Karndean. They’re both brands of luxury vinyl tile.
My local carpet shop does both, you’ll just have to find stockists in your area. It’s worth spending the extra, I have it in my hallway and I really like it.
