Installation of SIRO gigabit network ...

    Hiya,

I am thinking to get SIRO gigabit broadband installed (via Vodafone) - I read in SIRO's FAQs that the external connector "goes into the ESB meter box" and that "you'd agree with the engineer where the internal connector would be" ....

Now - I would need the internal connection to be on the exact opposite in the house than the ESB meter box ... does anyone have any experience in getting such installed. I.e. how is this done; is it 'messy'; etc. ??

    Cheers,
    Stone

They likely would have to run the cable across the exterior of your premises to your desired entry point.

AsNavi said, the entry point doesn’t have to be the meter box. They can run the fiber cable outside you house to any external wall with an electrical socket on the inside.

Other option is they run cat 5 cable inside your house through walls/ceilings or whatever to where you want the router.

You could think about TP links to reduce wiring.

Which TP Links product should he think about? The Deco M5? I've heard it's great for WIFI coverage but it's not replacement ethernet if you want gigabit speeds.
