Best Horror Movie - Boardsies Decide

Ok in keeping with our honourable mod quickbeam and her fantastic contest last Saturday, I'm going to jump on her idea and get more specific in the genres.

First up: Horror Movies!

So from the original game, how it works:

• PM me your top 5 horror movies in no particular order
• We'll leave it open for about a week (Let's say Tuesday 13th)
• I'll collate the movies, sort by popularity, and pick the top 32 mentioned. If there are more than 32 movies selected, those with multiple selections will go through and the rest randomised.
• Then we'll open up for the knock-out stages, two films fight it out. With a tennis scoring system: the first to 6 votes with two clear points ahead. Give reasons for your choice too, just to make it a bit interesting. No time limit, just the first to 6.
• The winner goes to the next round, and repeat with the next two until we've halved the number
• Depending on popularity of the contest (he says hopefully) Quarter Finals will be first to 8, Semis first to 10, Final first to 12, until eventually we have a winner, and the arguments can begin.
• I'll try to seed the movies mentioned in the knock-out so we're not starting out with #1 and #2 the top rated movies from the get go.

I'll run the reveal sometime next week, maybe during the week this time so you all have something to distract you from actually doing work that day

Yep, when the knockout stage begins you vote for your preferred movie in each match-up.

First to 6 votes with a gap of 2 (so 6-4 as an eg) progresses.

Yeah horror movies aren’t for me either. I could name 5 big hitters but no real interest in the voting

Interesting idea. Horror films would probably be my least favourite genre. As in, some of them I absolutely hate because they scared the bejaysus out of me, haunted me for weeks and put me off the genre entirely... but I think I can muster 5 that I genuinely love
