how do i go about cancelling our rental agreement? we are living in an apartment for a bit over 5 years now.

i also bought a house recently, but we dont know when we would be able to move in. do i terminate now? or when i know when we can move in?

as far as i know, after the contracts are signed, we will probably get told when we will receive the keys.

What stage are you at with the house you are buying?

As you are over 4 years there, notice to terminate tenancy is 84 days, so if you think you will be in your new house sooner than 4 months, give your notice immediately so that you are not caught for rent and mortgage at the same time.
