For anyone who is interested in improving their chances, you could do worse than read Take Stock by Ellis Traub: This book is normally not shipped outside the US, so you need to watch out for it on eBay or find some 2nd hand bookshop willing to ship it to you.

Thanks Jim, I have it on order on amazon.co.uk from a marketplace seller in the US. I bought it after reading another post from yourself and looking up some reviews on the book, looks like a good investment.
