Why is my MacBook acting up?

    I’ve had it since 2015 but the use is quite light, mostly just web browsing and word, PowerPoint occasionally.

    Lately it switches off without warning even with 50% battery.

    And right now it won’t accept my password as correct even though I’ve tried it multiple times and it definitely is.

    Any thoughts? HELP.

    Does the power off occur while connected to an outlet, or just while on battery?
    The password failure is when you try to login, or are you being prompted later?
