Peugeot Partner cluster issues

    Hi guys,

I'm currently working on a 2009 1.6 hdi partner that had numerous issues. I've sorted a lot out but I'm left with an electrical gremlin that I can't quite solve. The van drives 100% but the dash is like a christmas tree.

    Symptoms:
-Oil pressure light, engine light and cooant light constantly stay on.
-The glowplug light comes on with the left indicator
-A lot of lamps turn on when the handbrake is pulled
-High beams seem to make the abs and low fuel light get slightly brighter.

I tried resetting the bsi, clearing the codes, taking out wires to the comms unit (wiper, light stalks etc) while running, cleaning some of the earths around the controls, cleaning the battery terminals, checked all the fuses, checked the cluster circuitboard.

The van had a black box spliced in (very badly), I removed it and there was no change. It also has an aftermarket headunit if that matters.

I'd really appreciate some advice. I can't seem to find any circuit diagrams to help either.

My brother had an 07 1.6. He had some issues with electrics, but not as many as you have. The garage told him the battery that was in it was not the right one. He changed the battery for the correct one and no issues after that. I now have the van for the last two years and no issues with electrics. Something to check out.
