I'm off to Berlin at the end of the month for a few days of debauchery. I need some off the wall ideas of what to do AH style.

Fancy dress is a big thing in Berlin.
Maybe dress up as a Waffenn SS soldier.

Stay there for 2 years living in Kreuzberg saying you're a graphic designer/DJ while getting money sent over from your parents

Let's just get the whole Hitler thing out of the way, shall we?

    Hitler.

    There. Carry on.

Are we still allowed to so Kaiser Wilhelm and WW1.

Wear a helmet with a little point on it, while plotting your own personal Schliwffen plan. Twirl your perfectly waxed moustache for added effect.

He said he was going to Berlin, not Austria.

There is a dedicated forum for this, but they probably won't suggest the Kitkat Club over there...

Urban Spree and Suicide Circus are worth a visit. There's some other good bars around that area as well.

The DDR Museum is really cool, even if you're not a conventional museum type.

And the Stasi Museum which is easily reached by U5.

Visit Sachenhausen Concentration Camp. Its about thirty minutes by train from central Berlin. There is an ex Britsh Army officer that does tours to it. He will meet the group near the main rail station. Very informative.

The Terror museum (on the site of the Gestapo HQ) is hugely informative. You could spend a few hours there, even if it only covers a single floor. The Jewish Museum is justifiably famous for its eerie and dark architecture. It has a nice café also. There's nothing left of Hitler's Bunker but it's next to the famous Holocaust Memorial of dark concrete blocks so if you've seen Downfall you might be interested in crossing the road to the spot.

Museum Island is the nicest spot in the city. Very old style so check what museums there interest you. Berlin Cathedral there, where the Hohenzollern crypt is, was well worth visiting and has a great view of the city.

Try and get a guided tour of the Reichstag. There is also a self-guided tour of the new part which brings you up to a fantastic view of the city but I found the guided one which focused on the old building, arrival of the Russians (our guide went through some of the grafitti which Russian soldiers drew on the walls that has been left there) etc better (the
    famous photo
of the Soviet flag being put on a building was on the Reichstag). The Reichstag is also next to a great park, Tiergarten, and the Brandenberg Gate (the Hotel Adlon, where Michael Jackson held the child out the window, is right there), which is a short direct walk from Museum Island (the site of the Nazi burning of the books in May 1933 is off that street on Bebelplatz). A fantastic city, with something for everybody.

Topography of Terrors on the site of the Gestapo HQ is good and free. We did a tour in a Trabant which was really cool but you need a drivers licence. Mrs Havoc and I dined on top of the TV tour which was also really cool.

Take the train to Potsdam outside of the city, beautiful lakes and forests.

Visit the Juidishces Museum in Berlin, just to remind you where you are.

Visit the Temperhofer Feld, the closed down airport that is now a massive recreational area. Great spot on a Friday evening.

    It's a great city.

Berlin is an awesome city. So much to see and do. You'll have a great time.

All eyes on Kursk. Slava Ukraini.

Berlin for its size must have the worst international airports in the developed world. Both Schönefeld and Tegel are s**t. Schönefeld at least has access to s-bahn while Tegel is close to western part of town.

I tell you what not to do, don't go to the sex museum near Zoologischer Garten.
I've never been more bored by sex in my life. In fact, I'd avoid that area altogether.

The Gasometer Schöneberg is in Schöneberg (where else) and is like a cross between the Gasworks in Dublin and the Eifel Tower -- you can climb up with a guide, and you get a great birds' eye view of Berlin.
