I've a few years to go yet on my '96 bongo but was just thinking about this yesterday.
Once they reach the age, do vehicles automatically change to vintage status?
If not, what's people's opinion on whether it's worth doing?
No CVRT requirement, cheaper tax etc but how is it getting insurance and are the policies more restrictive than the campervan policies?

You may qualify for vintage tax but the test does not go on age it applies to all vehicles first registered after a certain date, about 1982 iirc.

From 2020 there are new NCT regulations.

Private vehicles, rolling 30-40 years old...NCT every 2 years.

Private vehicles, rolling 40 years and older, NCT exempt.

So at the moment I need a NCT every year but when my Camper is 30 I will only need one every 2 years?

    That is just mad bonkers.
