Mr Adjudicator @ 10/3 in the 6.50 Galway... got unlucky earlier in the week with being boxed in but hacked up home to get 4th. Back down in trip. Should be bang there.

Into 7/4 generally now... was Tudor City priced up or is Mr Adj just being hammered in? Better not be rule 4!

Still 9/4 on pp tudor city was priced up at 10s last night so id say there will be. Backed minella beau last night at 8s. Longclaw also caught my eye in the 5.45 into 8s from 16s feel I've missed the boat now although there was a non runner. Also backing star maker in the first 11s.

When you say crazy price do you mean. Crazy big or crazy short.

I must say id be siding with aidan here. Looks like a 1/5 shot on paper. Probably shorter even.

    Goodwood.
    1.50 Perfection
    2.25 Biometric
    3.00 Baltic Baron
    Galway
    5.10 St . Stephens Green
    6.50 War Diary
    Newmarket
8.00 Social Network - Jamie Spencer travels up from Goodwood for this one ride. 33/1, I am filling my boots.

In the chase at Galway there are a couple overpriced. Both Aranhill Chief and Lilshane are both getting old, but this is their Gold cup. Available at 33/1 and 25/1, too big imo.

Stuck a small bet on So Beloved in the next at 80.0 on BF. Ran in the Sussex and the Lennox last year. Dropping into handicaps this year. Has been running ok.

Main bet is Beat Le Bon each way.

Goodwood ripping the piss today again for late starting. I would give those handlers such an almighty kick in the bolleex.

Badly needed. After backing about 5 seconds in my last 10 or 15 bets. Some of the Goodwood damage repaired.

You make a lot more money opposing his runners. It is turning into a joke now.

Just back Danny Tudhope instead, see what happens.

Oisin Murphy rides way beyond his years. Not a very classy race but just there at Newmarket was a joy to watch. He left the horse out front take off 4 furlongs out but didn't move a muscle. No panic whatsoever and took his time to get Cambric home in front.

Going to chance inscribe in 18:50. Owner certainly wasn't putting anyone off backing him during interview on rte on Monday ( after Rita Levi win).

Ouch, Pity. In fairness Kieran Shoemark is not the worst. But I thought it was interesting that Spencer was leaving Goodwood early for one ride up there.

Mr Adjudicator looks incredibly short here. I must say I thought he was more of a 3/1 shot in this race up against hardened flat handicappers.

Plumped for the ultra consistent Kings Vow each way 4 places.

Possibly the best horse anyway but Donnacha made an absolute show of those in behind there. Caught the lot of them napping.

Shane foley done well these last few days but i dont understand that ride on the king, he went ridiculously wide around the last few bends.

The King has not run well at all this season. He was a much better horse last year. He is hardly a winning machine anyways. The winner is lightly raced and is probably a group horse.

    https://www.racingpost.com/news/big-race-reports/battaash-registers-max-speed-approaching-50mph-in-king-george-blitz/393602
Blistering, brazen and the boss. There is no beating Battaash at Goodwood and the fiercely fast five-year-old clocked speeds approaching 50mph on the way to his historic third King George victory.

Battaash peaked at 48.63mph during the second furlong of the five-furlong dash, such speed that he readily outpaces the 27.8mph record of Usain Bolt at the World Championships in 2009, pushing to a quarter of the max speed of a Lamborghini Gallardo and three-tenths as quick as a military helicopter at full pelt.

He would be in trouble keeping to the 30mph Lambourn road speed limit.

Charlie Hills’s stable star averaged 41.32mph across the five furlongs, up from 40.69mph last year, sealing a second course record of 56.20 seconds since the Britain-wide remeasurement of racecourses concluded in 2017.
    Scintillating.

Battaash is great but he still hasn't won a group one in the UK or Ireland and has still only won one in total. At 5 years of age thats not a great record at all for such a quick sprinter.

Was surprised at that, still over £1.1m in prize money I wouldn't mind owning him. :pac:

Did they say if they were going to the Nunthorpe next? He hasn't a great record at York.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 471 ✭✭PhuckHugh22

There is only 3 5f group 1s in Ireland and the UK. And the Irish one is only a group 1 in name. Ascot and York are pretty quirky tracks too. He'd win the flying 5 with his mouth open if he ran in it.
