    Hi guys

Really need your help. I had an important Excel document on my Xiaomi Redmi note 7 phone which I have been editing for the past month. When I opened Excel to edit the file yesterday.....it had disappeared. I didn't delete it but it has vanished. Excel has auto save so I am really baffled by what's after happening.

I have tried a few online recovery methods using my PC but none have worked. Has any one any advice on how to retrieve the data? Most apps and computer programs are focussed on finding pictures, videos, etc

I hope someone can help....it was a very important document

maybe look into google sheets next time (can use offline mode also) or at least set that file as a google drive backup if in Excel format

don't really know of something effective for a phone file system tbh but there may be something

Unfortunately I was not signed into my OneDrive account. I'm raging. Better try and find a specialist so.

i doubt trying some of those apps would do any damage - they are only going to try to read data

Firstly OP I hope you get it recovered.

Hate to say it but lesson learned (the hard way)…if it's important then back it up.

Sorry but we've all been through it. Me included.
Hopefully someone reading this will be saved by your experience.

You've tried hooking it up to a PC and searching via a file manager (like Windows explorer)
