Is there any websites similar to cartell that tell if a car is manual or auto.

Herself is looking for an auto and a lot of ads leave the transmission field blank and the interior pics sometimes don't show it either.

Apart from contacting the seller is there any other way to check?

If you use the reg to check the insurance price it should show you if it's manual or auto?

Two things sorted while car hunting at the same time. If an advert doesn't show the reg I'd be throwing up red flags also, if a seller hides the reg even if it is a dealer then what else are they hoping to hide.

That's a big assumption to jump to. Just talk to the seller and ask them for the registration after asking a few questions about the car, if they have nothing to hide they will give it to somebody enquiring unless people are wasting money doing history checks on random cars that they haven't even contacted the seller about yet.

I thought the likes of donedeal forced the transmission field to contain a value?

No they can leave it blank, but search Automatic in the search bar and it brings up any ads that have that word in it.
