Need change car to allow son to learn to drive

    Looking for advice please.

I currently have a 2015 VW Polo 1L petrol and my wife and 21 ye old son love. That car got the 21 ye old to learn to drive and he has a full licence for two years now.

Our 2nd family car is a 2006 BMW 3 Series 2L petrol. We had this car since new and it's been great.

My youngest on aged 20yrs is going to be getting a provisional licence and I'd like to help him learn but the Polo is always in use so is like to change the BMW to a car that can suit him and myself.

Low maleate warrants a small petrol engine. I love the VW Golf petrol or similar. I suppose as he's starting off perhaps it's wisest to spend little with a view to satisfying the insurance companies and the fact he's a learner.

    Any recommendations appreciated.

Wait until he has the learner permit, and get a quote to add him on, before you think about purchasing a new car.

When I was added as a learner to a relatives insurance, it was essentially an admin fee.
