    Hello
Is there better value than this out there at the moment?
It's for a data analytics student, so VSC, sql, some javascript & python programming, internet etc., no gaming. Budget up to around €800 if necessary

save 180£ and just buy the i5 version on the same page that is on offer

less than 10% perf diff on i7 over i5 on the mobile u chips (would not notice difference at all)

buy a bigger ssd if you need it later

seems a decent laptop but the battery life is not amazing at about 5 hours

Would the Huawei mentioned on another thread be a better buy?

    depends what you want

    matebook d -
nice all-metal build . better battery life. better integrated graphics (can even play some ok games) but a bit slower on traditional cpu than intel i5. still enough cpu tho
lighter/more portable at 1.5kg - 200g less than 330s which would be noticeable.

    330s
very good value at £400 but battery life a bit low alhtho how often away from power bank for > 5 hrs - depends on individual usage profile.

    thinkpad
heavier again but has the thinkpad keyboard (altho other ones should be fine).
    long battery life
expensive compared to the others imo

the matebook d is the best balance of build quality, portability, battery life and bigger ssd off the bat (altho ssds are cheap now if need to buy own one)
