Engine light CT200H

    Hi All

    The engine light has come on on my ct200h 2012. When i turned it on at work it started chugging / struggling then when i was about half way home the light came on. i bought the car from a dealer in April so less than 4 months ago.

    the car is still under warranty. I have sent it to the garage for repair (under the warranty) and waiting to hear what is wrong with it.

    My worry is that they sold me a car with a defective engine and that even if the issue is fixed now then it could return and get worse (after my warranty ends)

    My overall feeling is that i need to go back to the garage and have a serious conversation as to whether they sold me a dodgy car

    any thoughts or help is much welcome

    Was the light steady or flashing?

    Either way, ask them for detailed information what fault(s) they found.

    Cars go wrong. Even non dodgy ones.
    Don’t jump to conclusions yet.

    Could be just a coil pack. Wait until you hear the diagnosis.
