When you asked this on another thread, I advised you to ring Traynor's (biggest car dismantlers on this island, they deliver here) and ring Phil Fitzpatrick to see could he help. Did you?

Did you contact them and ask them to repair the one you have?

Indra wanted leaf spy as they feel it may not be the inverter. Car is in pieces so have to get mechanic to put it back together first, probably mashed more sense to just stuck a new inverter in it.

Traynors don't have one, checked with then weekly since last post.

Found one in mayo but had a broken collect inlet so no joy.

    Any other leads happily received.

Quick update, found an inverter on ebay and it is in. Car is working again, collecting this evening. Happy days

    Delighted for ya!

How much did the whole saga set you back - apart from all the stress and time you had to put in obviously :(

Forgot to come back on this but happy to report that the car has been working flawlessly since we got it back in October. Failed the NCT on a track rod end so was back to the mechanic for that. Final bill less than €1200 for replacement inverter from ebay and labour so happy enough with that outcome. Still chasing the scrap year who sold me the first faulty inverter to get a refund but surprisingly he is very hard to catch on the phone these days!

If anyone needs mechanic details he is based in ballymount area and pm for his contact details.
