nose cauterization

hi all, our 8yr old has a lot of nosebleeds. consultant recommends cauterization. i know its either silver nitrate or electrical way of doing. i know how sore the nitrate is for getting rid of warts. our concern is will it be very painfull afterwards for our boy for his age? what is the recovery or has anyone any advice?…
