How do I go about changing my public IP address with this modem? I tried the trick of unplugging it for 10 minutes and putting it back on again but that doesn't work it seems

Disconnect / reconnect or off and on is the trick if you are on a Dynamic IP. If it's a business account, it is likely a static IP address which won't change.

Well it's a home line so I don't know, where can I check?

IPOE is sticky for about 3hrs or so. So you'd have to stay offline for an extended period.

PPPoE is new each dial, you could change to that if you dont have their TV product.
