Wondering can anybody help! Basically ive a broken iphone and a new samsung s9 - im looking to transfer data from iphone to android, however i have no itunes or icloud usage and i cant access the iphone as screen broke.

I have saved the data as html & xls on my laptop but they wont drag across to the samsung phone folder, or rather they do but dont show in the phone.

Apologies in advance for lack of technology knowledge!

Any help much appreciated as all my business contacts are on old phone.

Have you the contacts in xls, go to contacts in your Google account and upload the xls file, it'll then sync with your s9.

Alternatively go to repair shop ask them to put in a screen temporarily to get your data off. Or just put a screen in it then sell the phone.

Have you the contacts in xls, go to contacts in your Google account and upload the xls file, it'll then sync with your s9.

I'd agree, this is the best solution because your contacts will sync to google going forward so you'll never have the problem again when you get a new phone.

If you don't want to sync to google.. then open the excel file and "save as" csv. Then find a csv to vcard converter online. Your samsung should be able to import the vcard file to your address book.
